It is common knowledge that the light commercial vehicle market has been a major target for thieves for many years. One of the main reasons for this is that they tend to carry high value tools, stock or equipment in a relatively small space. On top of this most companies or van operators do not protect these items properly and generally rely on manufacturers standard locking systems, which although have improved, with a bit of practice and the right tools (most commonly a small bladed screwdriver) are still relatively easy to bypass by thieves.
We aim to offer you a security solution which will protect your tools and cargo in a cost effective manner.
What you can expect when you work with us:
Slamlocks
As the name implies a slamlock automatically locks and secures as the door is closed, requiring the use of the legitimate key to regain access. Due to the automatic operation of a slam lock they are recommended for load area doors and are Ideal for multi-drop situations.
Upgrade and convert the standard vehicle (O.E.) locks fitted to vehicle load doors, to genuine slam operation. The kit replaces the manufacturer's vulnerable barrel, and internal mechanism where appropriate, with High Security custom designed products, designed to resist attack and tampering. We do not endorse the practice of 'upgrading' the O.E. lock to slam operation by the addition of springs, this method offers no additional protection to the door and cannot be considered a security upgrade by itself.
Deadlocks
Deadlocks are the most common type of supplementary vehicle lock, available in a wide range of door specific kits to meet your customer's requirements.
Deadlocks have an internal mechanism which only 'lifts' when the correct key is being used to unlock the device, this prevents the lock bolt being pushed back into the lock case. Cheaper 'deadlocks' often rely solely on the actual key barrel to provide 'deadlocking', resulting in a much lower level of security.
Armaplate - Van Lock Protection
The Van Lock Cover Protection System is made up primarily of two steel-plates. On the outside of the van door is an attractive and extremely tough stainless steel plate which protects the door lock area. On the inside of the door panel is another (larger) steel plate which adds further protection. With the door-skin itself, there is effectively a triple barrier of steel between the would-be thief and the lock mechanism
